Milestone
That brings an end to our coverage for this game. Do switch tabs as the second semi-final begins soon. For now, this is Navjeevan Rajput, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer Ashok Dayma. Tata.
Manish Pandey (Hubli Tigers Captain): "Told the boys before the game that what has happened has happened and we now move our focus towards the semi-final and final. We had prepared really well for today. The boys have been working in the nets really hard. The most important thing is clarity of what role each player has and the players sat down with the coach at the start of the tournament to figure it all out. We lost a couple of games in the middle but that's okay, we took a lot of learning from them. We have bowled first and it's been working well for us. But overall it does not matter if we bowl or bat first as I trust the boys regardless to get the job done."

16:20 IST: Time for the post-match presentation.
16:13 IST: It was one-way traffic in the first semi-final here. Tigers have thoroughly outplayed the Lions with both bat and ball today to book their place into the Maharaja Trophy 2023 Final.

The Tigers' bowling set it up nicely early on by containing the Lions to 149 runs. Coming in to chase a target of 150 runs. The Tigers were taken off to a flier by Sisodia in the first over. He was dismissed, but Taha took over and dealt in only sixes. Taha was well supported by Shrijith. The duo stitched a 114-run match-winning partnership. Taha (69) was dismissed towards the end. But Shrijith (61*) stuck around to get the Tigers across the line with six overs to spare.

The Lions struggled batting first as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Their innings never really took off, and they could post just 149 runs on the board. Defending their total, they were hammered around by the Tigers' top three batters. Koushik did get rid of Sisodia early, but overall the Lions bowlers to a hammering from Taha and Shrijith. Rao got the big wicket of Taha, but it was very late by then.

With that, the Tigers became the first team to advance into the Finals. It's the end of the road for the Lions in this tournament. They will hope to come back strong next time around.
