That's it from our coverage of match 36 of the WBBL from Lilac Hill, Perth. Ninaad Dixit here, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. Stay tuned for more cricket coverage from across the globe.
Amelia Kerr is the player of the match.
The Brisbane Heat go to the top of the WBBL points table defeating the Perth Scorchers by 33 runs here at Lilac Hill in Perth. The Scorchers won the toss and decided to send the Heat batters in. Useful knocks from Georgie Redmayne, Grace Harris, Danni Wyatt and Jess Jonassen helped them to a good total of 153/7 in 20 overs.
Alana King (2/24), Marizanne Kapp (2/25), Piepa Cleary (1/20) and Sophie Devine (1/27) were the wicket takers for the Scorchers. The chase didn't go as planned for the Scorchers as they lost 2 key wickets in the poweprlay with Sophie Devine and Beth Mooney being sent in the hut for 18 runs.
Maddy Green held the fort for the orange team scoring a half century but was run out for 58 off 53 deliveries and was the only batter alongside Mathilda Carmichael (17) to take her score into double figures. The duo also added 47 runs for the fifth wicket in the middle overs but the required rate kept increasing as the batters failed to get boundaries at regular intervals.
Nicola Hancock (3/26), Amelia Kerr (2/16), Charli Knott (1/12) and Courtney Sippel (1/27) were the wicket takers for Brisbane Heat whereas Jess Jonassen choked the scoring with an economic spell of 0/22 as the Scorchers were restricted to 120/8 in the 20 overs.

1 Fuller on the legs, Mills flicks it away to the leg side for a single to end the over-and-end contest. Perth Scorchers will end with 120/8 in 20 overs as they go down by 33 runs. Brisbane Heat with this win goes top of the points table with 14 points from 10 games.
W WICKET! Another one bites the dust. Full toss here, King flicks it away uppishly straight to the fine leg fielder. The fielder in the deep makes no mistake as Sippel takes the catch and judges this to perfection here. 8 down now for 119.
