Lancashire came out to chase down 169 runs. Philip salt (33of 28 balls) and Keaton Jennings (7 of 9 balls) opened the inning for Lancashire. Lancashire didn't start the inning on a good note as they lost 2 consecutive wickets at just 18 runs on the board, Jennins, and Croft (0 of 2 balls) joined the dugout in the 3rd over of the inning. Dane Vilas joined Salt in the middle and built a strong partnership of 67 runs for the 3rd wicket Dane Vilas departed scoring quick 42 runs off 21 balls and was soon joined by Salt.
