A dynamic top-order batsman, William Luxton is a professional English cricketer for the Yorkshire second XI squad. Born in Keighley, Luxton gradually progressed into the senior squad after featuring in the U-17s and U-19s of Yorkshire County Club.
The youngster made his debut for the senior side in the Royal London One-day Cup against Northants. The 18-year old top-scored with 68 on his debut as Yorkshire’s total of 222 went in vain as rain washed the game out.
For someone who is wiry-built, he hits the ball a long way and is a gun fielder. At just 18 years of age, Luxton has already made huge developments in both sides of the game and would be hoping to cement his place in the longer formats of the game for the County’s first team.
