A pacy, unconventional fast bowler, Tino Best is a former West Indies cricket who played just played a handful of games in a career spanning over a decade. A short-tempered cricketer, Best has a bustling run-up and gives his all every time he rushes into bowl and can be lethal on his day.
After a tough Test debut against Australia in 2003, he made a comeback a year later against England and showed he had the fire. However, he did get involved in a few exchanges with the opposition.
By the middle of 2005, he was axed from the side and only came back in 2009 when the frontline players were out due to a dispute with the board. Best then returned again in 2012 and on comeback he smashed 95 while batting at No 11, which remained the highest score for that position until the record was broken by Ashton Agar in 2013.
Despite the occasional debacle, however, he is one of those colourful characters cricket is known for producing over the decades. Best dismissed 213 batsmen in 69 first-class matches for Barbados and played three matches in the 2015/16 Professional Cricket League. A lack of respect forced fast bowler Tino Best to retire from international cricket.
