One of the most reliable wicket-keepers in the Australian domestic circuit, Tegan McPharlin is a professional cricketer for the Adelaide Strikers. She is one of the most experienced and respected players for the Striker’s squad. At 33 years of age, McPharlin from time to time has proved to be a masterful keeper and an aggressive middle-order batter.
While McPharlin’s career has produced classic moments behind the stumps, it was with the bat that she produced one of the best moments to date. In the final round of the 2014-15 Australian domestic 50-over cup, the veteran combined with skipper, Lauren Ebsary to help chase down 236 with an over to go and eventually booked a spot in the finals since 2007-08.
The former Striker’s skipper, Mcpharlin has piled on more than 800 runs in the past few seasons in the Statewide Super First Grade competition and has played several important cameos for the Striker’s in the middle-order. A persistent, hard-working and a team player, Mcpharlin has been the mainstay for Adelaide Strikers since its inception.
