Sushant Mishra is an Indian cricketer based out of Ranchi, Bihar.
The 21-year-old Sushant Mishra is a left-handed batsman and left-arm medium-fast bowler.
Mishra made a reputation for himself in junior domestic championships when Rahul Dravid coached him. He idolises 'the great wall of Indian Cricket'. Also, the cricketer remembers him during difficult times when he was told to calm down and study instead of focusing on the results. He could bowl faster than most of his peers. Manish Vardhan, his U-19 coach, believes that the young talent has the potential to make it to the senior team if adequately fostered.
Sushant's path to such a prestigious position has not been easy. He has a tight relationship with his father, Mr Sameer Mishra, who resigned from his work to support his son's dreams. His father worked as a medical agent, and he used to accompany the youngster to his training sessions. He permitted him to pursue his passion since he believed that Sushant was destined for greatness. Sushant is now going above and beyond to please his family.
In the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) signed Sushant Mishra as a replacement for medium pacer Saurabh Dubey when an injury to his back and has been ruled out for the rest of the tournament.
