Lean, mean and skiddy, Uttar Pradesh medium-pacer Tyagi made a big impact in his debut season in the 2007 Ranji Trophy and ended up being the leading wicket-taker in the tournament. Unfortunately, he was forced to sit out the next season due to injury. Despite his absence, the Chennai Super Kings management saw a lot of potential in him and they signed him before IPL 2009. Although he hasn’t rediscovered his rhythm from his debut season, the Chennai franchise continued to show faith in him by retaining him till IPL 2012. He will turn out for a new outfit, being bought for USD 100,000 by the Sunrisers at the 2013 IPL Player Auction.
