Hailing from Jodhpur, Shubham Garhwal is an upcoming superstar from Rajasthan after Ravi Bishnoi. He is a left-handed batter and bowls left-arm orthodox spin.

Garhwal completed his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in the Information Technology department as his father always wanted him to become an engineer. However, after completing his B.Tech, the southpaw returned to Jodhpur, and his childhood coaches insisted he pursued cricket as a profession. 

In 2015, the Jodhpur-based cricketer started to take cricket seriously and earned a call-up for Chhattisgarh in the 2016-17 season of the Inter-State Twenty-20 tournament. The all-rounder also played for the same club as Bishnoi and performed really well in the local tournaments of Rajasthan. 

Garhwal's impressive performances grabbed the eye-balls of scouts of Rajasthan Royals (RR), and the franchise bought him in the 2022 mega-auction of Indian Premier League (IPL) at the base price of INR 20 lakhs.

Now, he has the opportunity to showcase his calibre in the world's grandest T20 league and will be keen to gain valuable experience from the best players.
