Born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Siddharth’s journey into professional cricket took an unusual route. His family spent several years in Jakarta, Indonesia, before relocating back to Chennai to support his cricketing ambitions.

Manimaran Siddharth’s IPL journey has been one of patience and persistence.

He was first picked by the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2020 and later by the Delhi Capitals in 2021, but opportunities were limited, and an untimely injury further delayed his debut. 

That opportunity finally arrived when Lucknow Super Giants signed him ahead of the 2024 season. He made an immediate impression by claiming a high-profile wicket early in his IPL career, taking Virat Kohli’s wicket as his first scalp in the league.

Since then, Siddharth has grown into a reliable squad member for LSG. Retained for the 2026 season, he is valued for his control, tactical awareness, and ability to deliver in crucial phases of the game. His role as a Powerplay spinner adds a unique dimension to the team’s bowling attack.
