A right-handed batsman, Rymell signed a rookie contract with Essex in 2020 and was praised heavily by his coach, Ben Stephens, who believed that Rymell could be the next big thing in English cricket.
Rymell featured several times for the Essex age group side in 2015 and appeared 19 times for the second XI in 2019.
During the 2019 season, he averaged 26.56 with the bat and his highest score of 87 came up against Durham in a 50-over match.
In 2019, Rymell suffered an ACL injury that kept him out of the game for 8 months.
A free-flowing strokemaker, Rymell is one of the most exciting players to have come out of the Essex Academy in recent years. A terrific player through the covers, Rymell will look to further nurture his skills with the Essex side in the 2021 domestic season.
