Herschelle Gibbs, the dashing batsman from Cape Town, is the kind of player who can change the course of a game. A busy cricketer, he is responsible for great saves, unbelievable catches and amazing direct hits. When armed with a bat, he can take the attack to the opposition and score runs at an alarming rate.
Although he hasn’t played international cricket for South Africa in the last couple of years, Gibbs continues to travel the world playing Twenty20 for various clubs and franchises. The 38-year-old was an integral part of the Deccan Chargers set-up in the first three seasons of the IPL. He was signed by the Mumbai Indians at the IPL Player Auction 2012.
