A bright, young skilful bowler, George A Garett is a professional English cricketer for Warwickshire County. With the Bears’ bowling ranks heavily depleted by injuries during the 2019 season, Garton received a surprise call-up to the senior squad and he emphatically seized the opportunity.
Garett played three matches in the County Championship and impressed one and all. He made his first-class debut against Somerset on August 18th, 2019. He picked up 8 wickets in his debut season and immediately proved his worth. The youngster made his List A debut in the Royal London Cup against Glamorgan on June 22nd, 2021, and registered his best figures of 3/50 against Leicestershire this season.
At the start of the 2021 season, Garrett penned down a new contract from Warwickshire which will see him at the club till the end of 2023. His performances suggest that he has the temperament, as well as the skills, to become a serious candidate to challenge for a place in the senior squad in all three formats.
