Faiz Fazal is a left-hand batsman who opened for India U-19 before he made his first-class debut for Vidarbha in the 2003-04 season. He now plays for the Railways and bats at No. 3. Fazal has scored over 2,500 runs in first-class and over 1,000 runs in List A cricket.
Having made his debut for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2009, Fazal has stayed with the franchise ever since. Although he played a few match-winning innings in the early days of IPL 2010, he couldn't contribute consistently and played only two matches in IPL 2011. He will be hoping for many more opportunities in IPL 2012.
