A crafty off-spinning all-rounder, Eimear Richardson is a professional cricketer for Ireland women’s team. Born in Dublin, the 35-year was first capped at the international stages in 2005 against the mighty Aussies.
Nicknamed “Richo”, she has been a key cog for over 9 years since making her debut until she last played for Ireland in the 2014 T20 World Cup. After featuring for her country in over 50 games across all formats, Eimar moved to Wellington to play for the Wellington Blaze in New Zealand’s domestic circuit and won two t20 titles with the Blaze in 2014/15 and 2017/18.
After flourishing in New Zealand, the Dublin-born spinner was recalled to the Irish women’s side after 6 years for the T20 World Cup Qualifiers and scored a match-winning 53 on her return against Netherland Womens. At the age of 35, Richo is in the twilight of her career and she would be hoping to boost the confidence of the young Irish side with the experience she brings to the table.
