Born on August 5, 1996, Delano Potgieter is a seasoned South African all-rounder whose consistent performances across formats have earned him recognition in both domestic and franchise cricket. A left-handed batter and right-arm medium pacer, he brings balance and impact to any side he plays for.

Delano began his first-class journey with Gauteng, making his debut against Northerns. His rise was swift and notable—he topped the run charts for Gauteng in the 2018 Africa T20 Cup, scoring 217 runs in just six matches. Soon after, he showcased his bowling prowess too, finishing as the leading wicket-taker in the 2018–19 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge with 17 scalps in nine games.

His all-round ability caught wider attention, leading to his inclusion in the Jozi Stars squad for the 2019 Mzansi Super League. Over the years, he continued to deliver consistently, earning spots in major squads, including Gauteng’s 2019–20 CSA T20 Cup team and the South Africa Emerging Men’s squad for the 2021 tour to Namibia. That same year, he was selected to represent North West in the 2021–22 season.

Delano’s recent career has expanded globally. After a stint with MI Cape Town in the SA20 league, he signed with MI New York for the 2025 edition of Major League Cricket (MLC) in the USA, marking his growing reputation in T20 leagues worldwide.
