In the 2021 Women's Senior One Day Trophy, the North 24 Parganasl-born contributed valuable 44 runs for Bengal Women against Haryana Women, showcasing her potential as a top-order batter. Her performance caught the attention of the selectors and was later selected for India D Women's team.
The Bong woman gained the spotlight when she caught the attention of Delhi Capitals (DC) and was roped in for her base price of INR 10 lakhs in the first-ever Women's Premier League (WPL) auction. Aparna is generally known to bat at the top four.
This golden opportunity to don the jersey of DC is nothing short of a dream come true for the 27-year-old wicketkeeper-batter, who is now all set to showcase her cricketing prowess alongside some of the biggest names in the game. Sharing the dressing room with Jemimah Rodrigues, Meg Lanning, Shafali Verma, and Marizanne Kapp, the Bong girl would be geared up to hone her skills and leave an indelible mark.
