In the 2021 Women's Senior One Day Trophy, the North 24 Parganasl-born contributed valuable 44 runs for Bengal Women against Haryana Women, showcasing her potential as a top-order batter. Her performance caught the attention of the selectors and was later selected for India D Women's team.

The Bong woman gained the spotlight when she caught the attention of Delhi Capitals (DC) and was roped in for her base price of INR 10 lakhs in the first-ever Women's Premier League (WPL) auction. Aparna is generally known to bat at the top four.
