Over the years, Hobart Hurricanes have signed some of the best young Australian Women’s cricketers in their squad. And one such name that tops the list is Angelina Genford.
Touted as a teenage sensation back in Australia, Genford is a right-arm medium-pace bowler and is considered by many as one of the fastest bowlers in Australia.
She was a part of the Australian Under-17 team that played the Junior World Cup in New Zealand. Her Under-17 performances caught the attention of the Hobart Hurricanes team management and they decided to rope her in their squad ahead of the 2021-22 WBBL season.
Hailing from Sydney, Genford is a promising young pacer who will not only add to the depth of the Hurricanes bowling group but also comes with a reputation of being a team player on and off the field.
