Arguably one of the best fast bowlers to have come out of the West Indies youth setup, Andel Gordon is a West Indian cricketer who plays for the Windies U-19 side.
Gordon is a left-arm medium-pace bowler who was fast-tracked from a very early age. Born in Jamaica, Gordon quickly impressed his national team coach with his spirited bowling performances throughout the Youth level cricket. As a result, he was drafted in the 18-man West Indies Under-19 squad for their tour of England in September 2021.
The England pitches suited him for fast bowling and he unleashed himself on the England batters. Having played in 4 Youth ODI games, Gordon finished with 7 wickets under his kitty and impressed everyone with his pace and accuracy.
Still a long way to go for the youngster, but Gordon has all the tools to succeed at the highest level. He has started his career on a positive note, but can he achieve more is the next big question.
