Alex Griffiths is a Welsh all-rounder, who with time, has become equally handy with both bat and ball. Beginning her county career in 2016, Griffiths appeared for Wales in the clash against Essex.
While several roadblocks posed challenges in her debut year, Griffiths improvement as an all-rounder opened pathways to feature for different domestic sides. In the 2019 County Championship, she had 169 runs in her tally, scoring her maiden county fifty in the same season.
Gradually, she grew leaps and bounds in her bowling, emerging as the leading wicket-taker for Wales with nine scalps in the 2019 T20 Cup.
Adding to her resume, Griffiths was a part of the Western Storm squad in their title-winning Women's Cricket Super League campaign in 2019. She has also played Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and Charlotte Edwards Cup for the same side.
Donning various jerseys throughout her domestic career, Griffiths has become a prominent name in the English cricketing circle. Boasting of several accolades, the Swansea-born is among the top future English stars.
Her next assignment takes her to the 2022 edition of The Hundred, where she represents the Welsh Fire.
