A top quality pacer, Adam Sanford is a former West Indies cricketer, who moved to Antigua and became a policeman and played cricket side by side. Sandford made his first-class debut in 1997-1998 playing for Antigua and immediately impressed the cricketing fraternity with his variations.
Sanford came into prominence after striking 41 wickets for the Leeward Islands in a splendid 2002-2003 domestic season. Not an express bowler, his lack of pace proved inefficient at the international level. After two years at the international level, he was snubbed by the selectors due to the lack of consistency.
His best moment in cricket came when India toured the West Indies, where he picked the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar and was on cloud nine. After a short stint at the international level, he moved to the United States and retired from all forms of cricket shortly after.
