Born in South Africa and nurtured in New Zealand, young Bevon Jacobs radiates elegance in his batting like few others. At the age of 19 back in 2021, the hard-hitting star shot himself to prominence with a 178-run knock for Sydenham Cricket Club in a Christchurch Metro competition game. Recording the highest individual score in the history of the tournament, Jacobs was recruited by Canterbury during the 2023-24 domestic season in New Zealand.
On his T20 debut against Auckland during a Super Smash game from December 2023, the right-hander clubbed 42 runs from just 20 balls before getting toppled by senior New Zealand international James Neesham.
