Player Bio

A talented right-hand batter and a part-time spinner, Jack Taylor has been a crucial player for the Gloucestershire team in the last 10-12 years.

In 2010, Jack made his First-Class debut and followed it up by featuring in the white-ball formats the following year.

From May 2013 to February 2014, he was banned from bowling due to his illegal bowling action but made a comeback in the 2015 edition of the County Championship Division Two fixture against Northamptonshire.

Taylor hit his career-best 156, and in the same year, the 30-year-old scored 166 runs and picked up nine wickets to help the team win the Royal London Cup. He also earned the Man of the Match award for his contribution of 35 runs and figures of 3/43 in the Finale against Surrey.

In the 2016 edition of the T20 Blast, the all-rounder scored 161 runs and registered his highest T20 score in a knock of 80 off 41 balls against Durham.

The following year, Taylor amassed 302 runs at an average of 43.14 in the Royal London Cup. He was sensational with 665 runs and 13 wickets in the same edition of County Championships Division Two. With these striking performances, the 30-year-old won the Batsman of the Year Award.

Taylor was reappointed as the captain of the Gloucestershire side for the T20 Blast.
