Player Bio

A promising young entity in the Australian circles, Nicola Hancock, is one to watch for the future. A regular for Australian Capital Territory Meteors and Brisbane Heat, Hancock stands out through her use of pace when bowling, and her power-hitting in the lower order.

Born in Melbourne, the seam-bowling all-rounder began her career as part of the Victorian U-15 squad. Her determination and drive saw her included in not only the Victorian U-18 side but also the Shooting Stars during their 2015 tour of Dubai.

By 2016, the Melbourne-born shifted her base to play for ACT Meteors and has been a regular for the state team from then on. Later that year, she was contracted by Melbourne Renegades in the Women’s Big Bash, before playing for Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Stars.

Over the years, Hancock has also played a season in the domestic league of New Zealand, when she donned the Northern Districts’ jersey in 2015-16. She also travelled to Sri Lanka with the Australia A Women's squad in early 2016.

For 2020-21, the all-rounder joined hands with the Brisbane Heat and still represents the franchise at the T20 extravaganza. And when she's not playing cricket, she is also a personal trainer.
