Player Bio

An attacking all-rounder, both with bat and ball, Liam Scott has it in him to fill the void since the departure of Shane Watson. An aggressor with the bat and an equally expressive right-arm fast-medium, Scott is - in lesser words - the new all-rounder on the blocks for Australian cricket.

Born in Sydney, Scott has been on the premises of South Australia cricket from age-group level, before representing Australia U-16s. He made his big debut for South Australia during the 2019-20 Sheffield Shield season.

The all-rounder made his first-class debut against Western Australia, where he wasn’t that impressive apart from breaking Cameron Bancroft’s shackles.

Later that season, the youngster was selected for Australia’s U-19 team for the 2020 World Cup. Scott had a stirring campaign where he stamped his class by an explosive 66 against West Indies. Apart from that, he also contributed well in all departments.

Scott’s prowesses were picked by Big Bash League’s franchise - Adelaide Strikers who picked the young all-rounder for the 2020-21 edition. He got his Strikers’ cap in a game against Sydney Sixers.

The young-gun only got a single BBL game that season, but will be looking to showcase his expertise in the 2021-22 edition of the league, after gaining some more experience of Sheffield Shield.
