India’s international home ODI schedule is officially over as the Men in Blue started the year with a resounding win against New Zealand in the first ODI, but it was later followed by back-to-back defeats as the Kiwis inflicted a series loss. In the third match, India needed to chase 338, but the Men in Blue faltered to achieve their target.

The series ended on a sorrowful note, not only for Team India but for the fans as well. The team has two global superstars in their ranks - Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, and with the two of them playing only in ODIs, the fans hardly get a chance to watch them live.

The duo will be in action in the IPL (starting from March), but the Indian fans will have to wait a bit to watch them play in the Blue jersey. Here is when Kohli, and Rohit will next feature for India in the ODIs.

When will Rohit, Kohli next feature for India in ODIs?

The Indian team has a packed schedule, with the 5-match T20I series against New Zealand starting on Wednesday. It will be followed by the marquee T20 World Cup event next month, and after which, the biggest cricketing festival, IPL, will commence.

Once the IPL is over, India’s team will travel to England for a white-ball series. The T20Is will be played first, followed by the ODI matches, that commences from July 14 in Birmingham. The Men in Blue will play three ODI matches and unless RO-KO takes a sudden retirement, the duo will play their next ODI match after almost 6 months.

India's next ODI schedule

1st ODI - July 14, Edgbaston

2nd ODI - JULY 16, Cardiff

3rd ODI - July 19, London (Lord's).

How Rohit, and Kohli performed in recent ODI matches

India’s home ODI summer featured them playing against South Africa and New Zealand as the team took part in six ODIs in home conditions. Against South Africa, the duo complemented each other to perfection as both scored truckloads of runs.

Kohli was immaculate against the Proteas, smashing back-to-back hundreds and also finishing with an unbeaten fifty as he scored 302 runs in three matches and was adjudged the Player of the Match. Rohit, on the other hand scored a couple of fities as he ended the series with 146 runs as both the players delivered the goods.

However, things took a different turn in the New Zealand ODIs. Kohli became the number one batter and also scored a match-winning 93 in the first ODI. He smashed a century in the series decider to end the tour with 240 runs.

His century in the Indore ODI kept India alive in the chase before the Kiwis trapped him towards the fag end of the game. On the other hand, Rohit had a series to forget. The batter failed to deliver the goods and smashed just 61 runs in three games, with an average of just 20.33 as India lost the series.
