West Indies chase their highest T20I total [Source: AFP]
West Indies recorded their highest successful run-chase in T20Is as the Men in Maroon punished the Indian bowlers to chase 250 with utmost ease in Ranchi on Friday. Their previous highest successful chase was 236, which the team attained against South Africa in 2015.
The target looked difficult to achieve when India posted a commanding 249/5 while batting first. India got early breakthroughs, courtesy of Mayank Yadav, but that was not enough as Shai Hope, Sherfane Rutherford, and Romario Shepherd created history for their team.

Shai Hope continues his dream run, smashes century to pile misery on India
Shai Hope, the West Indian batter, loves to play against India, and he continued his dream run against the Men in Blue after smashing them in the ODIs.
He played second fiddle to Sherfane Rutherford, but once the left-handed batter was dismissed, Hope took charge of the proceedings and dismantled the Indian bowlers to smash a 45-ball century, the second fastest by a West Indian in this format.
In the ODIs against India, he registered 278 runs in just three matches, with an average of 139. That form was carried forward in the T20Is as he took down the Indian attack to level the series.
He batted with confidence against India, and despite losing the early wickets, the West Indian captain continued the assault as the visitors won by 6 wickets.
