In the ongoing 1st T20I between India and Ireland in Belfast, Prasidh Krishna has hogged the headlines for all the wrong reasons. The right-arm seamer had a day to forget and scripted an unwanted record with the ball.
Talking about the match, India won the toss and opted to field first. The decision turned gold because India reduced Ireland to just 51/4 after 7 overs. However, Ireland batters stitched a solid part, and Prasidh Krishna is largely to be blamed.
Prasidh Krishna Gives Away 27 Runs In His 4th Over
From 51/4, Ireland managed to end their innings with 190 runs on the board. Irish skipper Locran Tucker slammed a fifty, and Gareth Delany too nearly as he fell on 49. Talking about Prasidh Krishna, the right-arm seamer gave away 57 runs in his four overs without taking a solitary wicket.
Krishna came to bowl his fourth over of the night in the 17th over of the match. He leaked 27 runs in his last six balls. Notably, the over featured a couple of fours in the first three balls and a hat-trick of sixes to conclude the over.

Prasidh Krishna Gives Away Most Runs By A Bowler In Successive T20Is
Prasidh Krishna's return to T20I format has not been quite fruitful. The IPL 2025 purple cap winner now holds the record for most runs given by a bowler in two successive T20Is.
Krishna's last T20I appearance was back in 2023 when India played three T20Is against Australia. In the 3rd T20I, the right-arm seamer leaked 68 runs, which is still the record for most runs by a bowler for India in a T20I match.
In last 2 T20Is, Krishna has given away 125 runs, the most by any bowler in history of T20I cricket.
