On Sunday, South Africa captain Bjorn Fortuin spun a web around Namibia to power them to a historic low in the third and final ODI at Namibia Cricket Ground, Windhoek. After Gerhard Erasmus opted to bat first, Fortuin’s 4/33, coupled with able support from Kwena Maphaka and Nqabayomzi Peter, did not allow Namibia to bat for even 37 overs.
South Africa bundled out Namibia for 156, with wicket-keeper batter Zane Green being their top-scorer with a 42-ball 33. They were 72/2 at one point before slipping to 125/9 in no time.
Maphaka and Peter picked up two wickets apiece, while Corbin Bosch had the other wicket. For Namibia, Alexander Volschenk (31), Louren Steenkamp (23) and Max Heingo (20*) were the only ones who had respectable scores.

Thanks to a 31-run last-wicket partnership between Green and Max Heingo, they avoided further humiliation before being bowled out for Namibia's lowest ODI total vs South Africa.
Earlier, Namibia’s 178 vs South Africa, which came less than 48 hours ago, was their lowest ODI total against them. The record has now, once again, been rewritten.

When Will Namibia Play Next?
Namibia, one of the co-hosts for World Cup 2027, were in action for a while. They were involved in a Tri-Nation series against Zimbabwe and South Africa, which South Africa won, with Bjon Fortuin defeating Zimbabwe in the final.
As of now, no official schedule has been announced for Namibia in the coming months. In simple words, they can breathe a sigh of relief, at least for now, after making headlines for an unwanted reason: Namibia's Lowest ODI total Vs South Africa.
