Issuing an official statement, Club spokesman Peter Boorman said “This started as a normal Tuesday evening league game and by the end of the night everyone realised they’d witnessed something extraordinary. We’ve spent the last 24 hours researching scorecards from all over the world and the more we’ve looked, the more significant it appears to become. Whether one record or several are eventually recognised, it was amazing entertainment from both sides!”
Hatherley & Reddings CC respond strongly in potential record aggregate
The Hatherley and Reddings Cricket Club also responded strongly in their chase, carting 229 runs in 19.1 overs. Opening batter Harry Bloomfield top-scored in the innings by slapping 109 runs off just 48 balls at a strike rate of 227.08.

Did Dumbleton CC achieve world record total?
The Dumbleton Cricket Club may well have achieved the world record total in a T20 game, if club cricket numbers are taken into account along with other competitive T20 matches like league cricket, championships and T20Is.
Some other recorded instances that come close to Dumbleton’s effort is the 416-run total charted by India’s Maavi back in 2017. The 349 runs scored by the Baroda cricket team in 2024 remains the highest total in a recognized professional T20 match.
In international T20 cricket, Zimbabwe’s 344-4 against Gambia in Nairobi remains the highest total by a landslide.
