On Monday, April 13, Rajasthan Royals will lock horns against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium for IPL 2026 match 21. The two teams have got off to contrasting starts this season.

The Riyan Parag-led side are unbeaten in this tournament with four wins in a row. On the other hand, SRH are placed 6th on the table with just a solitary win in four matches. It will be an interesting clash, as the match will be high-scoring, which suits SRH.

RR vs SRH Preview

As mentioned above, SRH, despite a negative start to IPL 2026, will be the favourites because the high-scoring template suits them. They have batters to put 250+ total on the board. However, their bowling has been highly disappointing, and they will be up against the likes of Vaibhav Sooryanvanshi.

Talking about the Rajasthan Royals, they have the best opening pair in IPL 2026, who have yielded results. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi are on fire, but the middle-order has been a problem. Therefore, ahead of the upcoming match, this article will shed light on RR vs SRH strongest playing XI.

RR Likely Playing XI vs SRH- Match 21

Openers and Top Order (Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel)

Rajasthan Royals’ top order has been the finest. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is the leading run-getter in the tournament so far with 200 runs in four innings, averaging 50. On the other hand, Yashasvi Jaiswal is not behind.

Jaiswal has scored 183 runs in four innings, averaging 91.50. Notably, he too held the orange cap for a brief period and is the third-leading run-getter in IPL 2026. At No.3, Dhruv Jurel has been in fine touch as well.

Dhruv Jurel is fourth on the list of most runs in IPL 2026 with 176 runs in four matches. He has two fifty-plus scores. His recent knock against RCB was an unbeaten 81 (43).

Middle Order and All Rounders (Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer, Ravindra Jadeja, Donovan Ferriera)

Rajasthan Royals' middle-order has been an area of concerns for the Riyan Parag-led side. Talking about the captain himself, the right-handed batter has 44 runs in four matches, averaging just 14.67.

Further, Shimron Hetmyer is also struggling for runs and scored 24 runs in three innings, averaging just 12.00. Further, Ravindra Jadeja is yet to get going and Donovan Ferriera has not got the opportunity to bat so far.

Therefore, it is fair to say that RR's middle-order is yet to shine and their weakness has not been exploited yet because of top-order's heroics.

Bowlers (Jofra Archer, Nandre Burger, Ravi Bishnoi, Brijesh Sharma)

Among the bowlers, Jofra Archer, Nandre Burger are in great touch. The pace duo have picked up 10 wickets combined. Further, Ravi Bishnoi is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament with 9 wickets in four matches.

Brijesh Sharma was also in form against RCB and picked up a couple of wickets to rattle defending champions. Further, Sandeep Sharma will come in as an impact sub.
