Delhi Capitals (DC) have started their campaign in the IPL 2026 with a nerve-racking victory over the Lucknow Super Giants. Now, the DC tolli is back home to face off with the Mumbai Indians on Saturday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi.

Chasing a modest total, Delhi lost their top-four inside the powerplay, but local boy Sameer Rizvi showcased his talent at the big stage, hitting an unbeaten 70 at Lucknow. As the top order failed against LSG's pace, the Impact Player showcased his range of shots and experience of knowing Ekana. In the chase, Tristan Stubbs aided Rizvi as the duo stitched an century (119*) partnership.

With the ball, Kuldeep Yadav, another local boy, did his usual as he returned with two wickets. Meanwhile, the in-form Lungi Ngidi picked a three-fer, while T Natarajan demostrated brilliant death bowling with his 3/29. As a result, DC were able to restrict the opposition for 141 runs.

As Delhi had lopholes in their batting against LSG, let us look at the DC Predicted Playing XI vs MI.

DC Predicted Playing XI vs MI- IPL 2026

Top Order: KL Rahul, Pathum Nissanka, Nitish Rana

KL Rahul started his IPL 2026 season with a golden duck. In his defence, he got a brilliant nut from Mohammed Shami, and anyone can get out on the first ball.

Rahul is undoubtedly an IPL legend with 5242 runs in the format. There is no concern about his place in the DC Playing XI vs MI. He will be partnered with Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanka, who himself got dismissed early, but he is the man in form.

There is much debate over Nitish Rana's place, as he is playing ahead of Abishek Porel. The latter has done exceptionally well for the franchise in all batting positions. After Rana's failure in the first game, pundits and fans are calling for Porel, but the DC management will give the experienced batter a couple of chances before moving forward.

Middle Order & All-Rounders: Sameer Rizvi, Axar Patel, Tristan Stubbs, Vipraj Nigam

Sameer Rizvi played the previous game as an Impact Player, and boy, did he perform. Although Skipper Axar Patel said they'll choose between Ashutosh Sharma and Rizvi as an Impact Player option, the Player of the Match from the previous game will be a part of the DC Playing XI vs MI.

Captain Axar Patel and Vipraj Nigam will be in for their three-dimensional skillsets. There can be a toss-up between Tristan Stubbs and David Miller, but the young Proteas batter has done so much for the DC to be picked in the starting eleven. Meanwhile, Miller will play as an Impact Player.

Bowlers: Lungi Ngidi, Mukesh Kumar, T Natarajan, Kuldeep Yadav

Although Mukesh Kumar failed to pick a wicket in the opener, Lungi Ngidi and T Natarajan bagged three wickets apiece against LSG. The trio will be in the DC Playing XI vs MI, each bringing a different dimension to pace bowling.

The DC Playing XI vs MI can't be completed without the wizard Kuldeep Yadav. He turned the game in Delhi's favour with two major wickets against Lucknow. Playing at Kotla, the left-arm leggie will be their biggest wicket-taker.
