When will India Women announce the squad for the tournament?
As team announcements have not yet been made, it is worth noting that squads for the Rising Stars tournament typically consist of A-team players along with emerging junior prodigies, as seen in India’s participation in the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025.
Regarding India’s squad, the Board of Control for Cricket in India usually announces the team closer to the tournament’s start date, and no official squad has been published yet.
There is a possibility that players such as Shweta Sehrawat, Trisha Gongadi, Shreyanka Patil, Uma Chetry, Titas Sadhu, and Kashvee Gautam, among others, could feature in India’s lineup.
Nevertheless, this edition will mark the inaugural Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament. However, separate editions of the Women’s Asia Cup and the Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars have been held in the past.
In 2023, the ACC Women’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup was conducted, where India A emerged as champions under the leadership of Shweta Sehrawat, with Soumya Tiwari serving as vice-captain.
IND vs PAK clash scheduled for February 15, 2026
India will play their inaugural clash on February 13 against the UAE, followed by a high-profile encounter against Pakistan on February 15.
Speaking of Pakistan, the young squad could feature players such as Alia Riaz, Eyman Fatima, Nashra Sandhu, and Sadia Iqbal, among others, who are likely to be strong contenders for their team in the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 tournament.
