In the ongoing match between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians at the Dharamshala Stadium, Shardul Thakur has hogged the internet after he bowled a dream delivery to send Shreyas Iyer packing. Notably, PBKS, batting first, got off to a brilliant start, but Shardul Thakur’s over turned things around.
Notably, PBKS were 107/1 after 11 overs. Jasprit Bumrah, the stand-in skipper, brought in Shardul Thakur for the 12th over. On the 2nd ball of the over, Shardul Thakur got Prabhsimran Singh out, who was cruising well and was heading towards a century.
Shardul Thakur Bowls A Peach To Dismiss Shreyas Iyer
Shardul Thakur was welcomed by Shreyas Iyer with a four on the first ball. However, on the very next delivery, the right-arm seamer bowled a peach of a delivery, pitched at good length. The ball and seam away at the last moment and kissed the outside of the off-stump, dislodging the ball.
Notably, Shreyas Iyer couldn’t believe what just happened, and Shardul Thakur was already on cloud nine. The MI seamer was elated and animated by the dismissal.

At the time of writing this article, Punjab Kings, who were 107/1 at one point, are now 140/7 after 16 overs and on course of their 5th straight defeat.

Notably, Punjab Kings were one of the best teams as they were unbeaten in the tournament in first 7 matches. However, since then, they have registered four straight defeats. Overall, Punjab Kings bowling and fielding have let them down.
