In the ongoing match between RCB and SRH, the Pat Cummins-led side have got off to a blistering start at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Notably, SRH, batting first, went all guns blazing, but Rasikh Salam drew the first blood and got rid of dangerous Travis Head.
For the unversed, Head and Abhishek stitched a 45-run stand for the first wicket. In the 4th over, Head got off to a brilliant start against Rasikh and whacked the right-arm seamer for three boundaries. However, the uncapped Indian had the last laugh and got rid of Head on the last ball of his first over.
Rasikh Salam Gives Aggressive Send-Off To Travis Head
For the last ball of the over, Rasikh Salam bowled a dream yorker that left Head puzzled. The southpaw didn’t expect a peach of a delivery after scoring three boundaries in the over. Nonetheless, Rasikh’s yorker uprooted Head’s off-stump.

Eventually, Rasikh gave an aggressive send-off to Travis Head, which, fortunately for him, didn’t backfire. Interestingly, Rasikh put his hand on his ear, hinting at shutting the outside noise and eventually roared by throwing a fist in the air.
Not just Rasikh Salam, but Virat Kohli, who was fielding at backward point, was also pumped up and roared like a tiger.

A Lot At Stake For RCB and SRH For IPL 2026 Playoff Race
As mentioned above, the ongoing match is highly important for both teams. Besides RCB and SRH, Gujarat Titans are also in a three-legged race to finish in the top 2. The Shubman Gill-led side are placed 2nd on the table with 18 points and a net run-rate of +0.695.
At present, all three teams are in the race to finish in the top 2 and at the same time, any team can fall out of the top-2 race, even RCB, who are comfortably sitting at No.1 spot on the table.
Notably, a massive defeat here can also result in RCB dropping to 3rd on the table. Therefore, the Rajat Patidar-led side is playing to stop that. For SRH, they need a win by a big margin to go ahead of Gujarat Titans or even RCB to enter the top 2 of the points table.
