Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Kamran Akmal was recently subjected to sexually offensive remarks from his teammate and former captain, Shoaib Malik. The incident occurred during ARY News’ show Har Lamha Purjosh, hosted this year by Shoaib Malik.
It all started when Shoaib initiated a conversation with one of the expert panellists on the show. The panellist responded with an offensive, indecent joke about Kamran Akmal’s outfit, especially the pink jacket.
Here’s what Shoaib Malik said about Kamran Akmal during live show
What seems more surprising to fans is that the entire conversation took place during a cricket show, which is entirely about the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026.
“Nabeel bhai, you were about to say something,” asked show host and former Pakistan captain, Shoaib Malik, to one of the expert panellists on the show.
“There was a bit of confusion, I was looking at his [Kamran Akmal] jacket, the pink jacket he is wearing, if he would wear the same pink jacket in America, they would have called him with some other name,” said the analyst, targeting Kamran Akmal’s suit with a sexually offensive joke.

"But right now, I am wearing it in Pakistan, you can’t say it here. In America, they would say, he is looking cute,” said Akmal in his rebuttal.
Generally, a sexually offensive joke or a conversation ends with the reply from the person who is being targeted. But what further took this conversation to another low level was the response of Shoaib Malik to this sexually offensive joke.
“You can understand or say the same to him here [in Pakistan] as well,” said Shoaib Malik, followed by a burst of laughter in the studio.

The recent On-Air clashes involving former Pakistan cricket
The Kamran Akmal-Shoaib Malik incident on ARY News is not one of its kind in Pakistan over the last couple of days. A few On-Air conflicts, direct attacks, and heated exchanges have been occurring between former Pakistan players around their team’s performance in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026.
One of the latest on-air conflicts involved the former Pakistan all-rounder, Mohammad Hafeez and ex-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq during PTV News’ show Game On Hai.
Shadab Khan’s bowling performance was the focal point in the heated exchange between Hafeez and Saqlain. It started when Hafeez targeted Shadab’s abilities and role in the team, but the latter’s father-in-law, Saqlain Mushtaq, responded promptly to defend the all-rounder.
Pakistan at the exit doors in the T20 World Cup 2026
Speaking of the performance of the Pakistan cricket team in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026, they are almost standing on the exit doors. The team’s hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals faced a severe dent after New Zealand defeated Sri Lanka by 61 runs to strengthen their chances.
Pakistan’s semi-final qualification now completely relies on a miraculous turnaround in the next game between New Zealand and England. Apart from that, the Men in Green will have to beat Sri Lanka by a bigger margin in their last Super-8 stage, which seems to be the toughest road for Pakistan.
