A video featuring Pakistan red-ball team bowling coach Umar Gul and star pacer Shaheen Afridi recently went viral on social media during the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

The clip appeared to show both men involved in a heated argument on the field, which quickly sparked rumours of tension inside the Pakistan camp.

Many social media users claimed that Shaheen Afridi had disrespected Umar Gul during Bangladesh’s second innings.

Umar Gul Clarifies The Situation

However, there was no confirmed evidence about what exactly happened in the conversation. As a result, misunderstandings spread rapidly online and fans started speculating about possible problems within the team.

After the video gained attention, Umar Gul finally addressed the issue and denied reports of any feud within the squad. The former fast bowler explained that the incident was completely misunderstood by viewers online.

According to Gul, Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali had suffered a head injury and was temporarily off the field. Shaheen Afridi was simply being informed about the situation as part of normal team communication.

"There was also a misunderstanding on social media regarding Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali. Hasan Ali had suffered a head injury and was off the field, and Shaheen Afridi was simply informed about the situation. There is no issue, but it was misinterpreted online," Umar Gul stated.

Bangladesh Dominate Against Pakistan

While the off-field discussion grabbed headlines, Bangladesh continued to dominate the match on the field. Pakistan had won the toss and decided to bowl first. In the first innings, Bangladesh scored 278 runs before being bowled out.

Wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das played a brilliant innings of 126 runs from 159 balls, while veteran batter Mushfiqur Rahim added 23 runs.

In reply, Pakistan struggled with the bat and managed only 232 runs. Former captain Babar Azam was the top scorer with 68 runs from 84 balls. Bangladesh bowlers Nahid Rana and Taijul Islam played key roles with figures of 3/60 and 3/67 respectively.
