Tim David keeps cool as a fan forces a selfie at the airport
RCB arrived in Mumbai on Saturday to face the Mumbai Indians in their upcoming IPL 2026 clash. To welcome the team, a huge sea of fans had gathered at the airport.
As Tim David walked out, fans suddenly mobbed him. One fan crossed the line by trying to take a selfie without consent, essentially invading his personal space.
However, instead of feeling threatened, David reacted calmly. He took the phone briefly, defused the situation and returned to move on without escalation.
That reaction is why the clip went viral, as it showed control under pressure, not aggression. However, such moments also raise questions about the lack of boundaries and basic civic sense.

Tim David is in red-hot form ahead of the MI clash
That being said, Tim David has been in explosive form in IPL 2026. The RCB batter recently delivered a stunning knock against CSK, smashing 70 off just 25 balls to power his side to a dominant victory.
Having been picked up for ₹3 crore in the IPL 2025 auction, Tim David is proving to be a valuable addition to the RCB lineup. His finishing skills have uplifted RCB’s batting, which lacked stability in the lower-middle order for the longest time possible.
Meanwhile, RCB will take on MI on Sunday, April 12, at the Wankhede Stadium. While RCB have shown promise this season, the Mumbai Indians have had a mixed run so far.
Historically, MI have dominated this rivalry, winning 19 out of 34 encounters, compared to RCB’s 13 victories, with one match ending in a tie.
RCB fumbled badly against RR
Meanwhile, in the previous clash against RR, RCB were destroyed by a 15-year-old kid, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Chasing 202, Vaibhav hammered a 15-ball fifty and finished with 78 runs off 26 balls.
He took apart quality bowling, including Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, leaving RCB scrambling for answers. By the time he was dismissed, the required rate had dropped drastically, effectively sealing the contest.
While Sooryavanshi went ballistic, Dhruv Jurel played the perfect supporting act, scoring 81 off 43 balls. Despite a brief fightback from Krunal Pandya, who picked 2 wickets in an over, RR chased down the total in 18 overs to seal a remarkable victory.
After that game, RR climbed to the top of the points table with 8 points while RCB slipped to third spot with 4 points.
