Rinku Singh was on cloud nine after he was given the medal for the Best Attitude of the Match as India defeated Zimbabwe in the third T20I on July 26, Sunday. With this 35-run victory, India also pocketed the three-match T20I series 3-0.
Rinku Singh was part of the Indian playing XI for all three T20Is against Zimbabwe at the Harare Cricket Club and didn’t get to bat in the first match that India won by 7 wickets. He made 12 runs in the second T20I that India won by 90 runs and then made 25 quick runs in the third T20I on Sunday that India won by 35 runs.

India's head coach for the trip, VVS Laxman, established the "Best Attitude of the Match" award, which is given out following each game to honor the player who most exemplifies the team's principles, dedication, and mindset.
After India's victory in the first Twenty20 International, vice captain Tilak Varma was given the award; after India's victory in the second, wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan was given the award.
AI Harsha, the strength and conditioning coach for India, then announced Rinku Singh as the winner of the award after the third T20I, praising his constancy, discipline, and capacity to handle pressure.

Rinku Singh thanks everyone for the medal
After accepting the gold, Rinku expressed gratitude to the support personnel and gave appreciation to the entire team for India's winning streak in the series.
“Thank you so much for the lovely medal, and thank you so much, Mr. Harsha. It was a good series, and everyone put in a good effort. Thank you so much,” said Rinku.
In the third T20I, Rinku had a helpful cameo, scoring 25 off just 14 balls with two fours and a six as India chose to bat first and amassed 192/5. Earlier, Ishan Kishan contributed 29, and teenage Vaibhav Sooryavanshi shone with a calm 81 off 49 balls.
India then finished the job with the ball, limiting Zimbabwe to 157/7 with two wickets from Yash Thakur and 3-29 from express bowler. Mayank Yadav. This resulted in a comfortable 35-run victory and a clean sweep of the three-match series.
India’s next T20I assignment
This same Indian squad will now participate in the upcoming Asian Games 2026. This event will be held in Nagoya and Aichi, in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Cricket is making its fourth appearance at the games, having previously been in Guangzhou 2010, Incheon 2014, and Hangzhou 2023.
The schedule for the Men’s event in cricket for the Asian Games in 2026 was announced recently. The men's competition is set for September 24 to October 1, and Korogi Athletic Park in the prefecture of Aichi will host the games.
Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, and Pakistan are seeded to go directly to the men's competition quarterfinals. To determine the remaining four spots, six teams divided into two groups will battle in a preliminary round.
Afghanistan, Japan, and Nepal make up Group A, while Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, and Oman make up Group B. The top two teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals.
