Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women are enjoying a strong run in the Women’s Premier League 2025–26, remaining unbeaten with five wins from five matches.

Along with their success on the field, the franchise is equally popular on social media, where quirky entertainer Mr. Nags is a regular presence, often seen conducting fun interviews with cricketers on RCB’s official platforms.

During a recent visit to his den, RCB Women wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh gave a hilarious and quirky interview, which featured playful moments, including her “arresting” a couple of Indian stars, one of whom happens to be her own teammate.

Richa Ghosh’s hilarious session with RCB’s Mr. Nags

First, Mr. Nags congratulated Richa Ghosh on winning the Women’s World Cup 2025. He then went on to ask a quirky question, pointing out that Mohammad Siraj, who also represented RCB and Richa Ghosh, a key member of the RCB Women’s team in WPL 2025, have both been appointed as DSPs. Nags asked why that was the case.

In response, Richa Ghosh explained that RCB had already done several podcasts and interviews with both her and Siraj, which had prepared them to handle pressure and tough situations. Because they are ready to face any challenge, she joked, they were assigned the role of DSPs.

Nags then humorously asked why he was not considered for the role. Richa instantly quipped back, “Maybe you look like a criminal, that’s why,” drawing laughter.

Mr. Nags also asked how Richa Ghosh managed to handle pressure during the World Cup campaign at the age of 22. Richa replied candidly, saying, “I think you guys prepare me for that. You ask me such different and difficult questions that I feel pressure during those moments and not on the field.”

Continuing the fun segment, Nags asked Richa, as a DSP, whom she would arrest for constantly questioning the umpires, even when it wouldn’t change anything. Richa replied, “Harry di (Harmanpreet Kaur),” before quickly adding that Harmanpreet is also a DSP.

When Nags asked whom to arrest who pretends not to hear the captain, Richa responded firmly, saying, “No one—everyone listens to the captain and is very sincere on the ground.”

Nags then asked whom Richa would arrest for constantly adjusting the field like it’s a video game. Richa humorously replied, “Should I arrest myself?”

He followed it up with another question about who she would arrest for shadow practising when no cricket was happening, to which Richa answered, “Smriti Di (Smriti Mandhana).”

How has Richa Ghosh’s WPL 2026 campaign been so far?

On the cricketing front, Richa Ghosh herself has been inconsistent with the bat. From the five matches played, she has managed only two double-digit scores, with her best performance coming on January 16 against Gujarat Giants, where she scored 44 runs off 28 deliveries.

Overall, Richa has accumulated 88 runs at an average of 29.33, while maintaining a healthy strike rate of 146.67 in the ongoing WPL campaign. In contrast, she enjoyed an excellent Women’s World Cup, where she averaged 39.17 from eight innings, struck at 133.52, and registered one half-century.
