The PCB faced a hefty financial slash as it allegedly sold the media rights, booking a loss of PKR 25 crore. Reportedly, the Mohsin Naqvi-led PCB set a base price of PKR 60 crore for the media rights to the upcoming Tri-Series, but due to poor viewership and low market interest, PTV Sports negotiated the deal at 41.7% off. Nevertheless, the Tri-Series between Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka, where all teams will play each other twice before the final, will kick off on October 18.
