In a significant development, New Zealand Cricket have announced a 19-member New Zealand A squad for the upcoming three-match unofficial series against India A. The first four-day match will begin on October 24, 2026, at Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln.
The squad includes 11 players with international experience, giving New Zealand A a strong group for the series.
It is important to note that the India A tour of New Zealand 2026 will take place alongside the senior New Zealand team's white-ball series against India and the country’s domestic Ford Trophy.
New Zealand A Squad Features 11 International Players
Rhys Mariu will captain New Zealand A in the first two matches. The captain for the third match will be announced later.
The team will have 13 players for each match, while the remaining squad members will take part in the Ford Trophy, which begins on October 28.
Several experienced players are part of the squad, including Henry Nicholls, Adi Ashok, Kristian Clarke, Dean Foxcroft, Matt Fisher, Mitchell Hay, Jayden Lennox, Ben Lister, Tim Robinson and Nick Kelly.
It is worth noting that Dean Foxcroft, Matt Boyle, Curtis Heaphy, Simon Keene, Fraser Sheat and Jarrod McKay are available for all three games.
Fast-bowling all-rounder Cam Paul will also feature in the third match. The 21-year-old missed the previous tour because of an injury.

"We're really looking forward to hosting India A," NZC head of high-performance development Pete Sanford said.
"They [India] have announced a very strong line up, which poses a great opportunity for growth as players to test their strengths against international class," Sanford said. "There's a huge buzz around having India on our shores and I know the squad are raring to get their domestic summer underway." he added.
