Image Credits: AFPNahid Rana, the tearaway pacer from Bangladesh, will have an extended break from cricket, as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is prioritizing his fitness over the upcoming tri-nation series in Zimbabwe and the West Indies test series.Nahid Rana had suffered an injury while playing for Bangladesh against hosts Zimbabwe in July. It was also reported that Rana will not be a part of the Bangladesh squad for the Asian Games 2026 in Japan.Bangladesh is scheduled to play one Test against Afghanistan, and the tri-nation series also involves Zimbabwe.“We are not considering Nahid Rana for the Asian Games owing to his rehabilitation process. He (Rana) will return with the Afghanistan series. It remains to be seen whether he will play Test or ODI. He has also played 5 T20Is and taken 8 wickets, with the best bowling figures of 4/26.He has an excellent record in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) as well, with 23 wickets in 25 games, with the best bowling figures of 4/27 at an economy of 7.97. He also has 9 wickets in 5 Pakistan Super League games, with the best bowling figures of 3/7.
