The ECB has named England’s playing XI for the upcoming first T20I against India. Harry Brook will continue to lead the national side, and he will be accompanied with several senior pros like Jos Buttler, Adil Rashid, Sam Curran among others.

Notably, experienced fast bowler Jofra Archer was rested from the playing XI, likely as part of his workload management. Archer recently played two Tests against New Zealand and also the entirety of the IPL 2026 season.

Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh, record biggest win in Test history

Zimbabwe completed a routing of Bangladesh on Day 3 of their one-off Test at the iconic Harare Sports Club in Harare. With Bangladesh resuming the innings at 40-1, the visitors folded up for just 185 in 45 overs as Zimbabwe scripted a huge win by an innings and 85 runs.

The outcome marked Zimbabwe’s biggest margin of victory in Test cricket, surpassing their last year’s effort against Afghanistan at the same venue.

Harmanpreet Kaur to lead India Women in Asian Games 2026

The BCCI has named a strong 15-member India Women squad for the upcoming 2026 Asian Games. Harmanpreet Kaur and fellow senior pro Smriti Mandhana will continue to serve as captain and vice-captain of the national side, after failing to guide the ‘Women in Blue’ into the top four of the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Ace spinner Shreyanka Patil has also been selected, however, she is subject to fitness clearance after sustaining an injury a few days ago.
