Ishan Kishan charts fiery 77 in record knock vs Pakistan

Indian opener Ishan Kishan rained down on Pakistan bowlers with a fiery 77-run knock from just 40 balls. The blistering left-hander clattered 10 fours and three huge sixes in match number 27 of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Colombo.

Through the course of his knock, Ishan Kishan became only the fourth Indian batter to score a T20 World Cup half-century against Pakistan, joining the likes of Robin Uthappa, Gautam Gambhir and legendary batter Virat Kohli. His innings helped India mount 175-7 in 20 overs after getting invited to bat first.

Arundhati Reddy sinks Australia as India take 1-0 lead

India Women’s team sank hosts Australia in the first T20I in Sydney to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The outcome also helped the ‘Women in Blue’ bag the two points on offer in their all-format tour of Australia.

Fast bowler Arundhati Reddy picked up figures of 4-22 in her four overs, which included the prized scalps of Ellyse Perry and Phoebe Litchfield. Her spell, coupled with wickets from Renuka Singh and Shree Charani helped Team India bundle out Australia for just 133. In response, India raced to 50-1 inside the powerplay before rains called off play, handing the visitors a comprehensive 21-run win (DLS method).

KL Rahul plunders grand 141 in Ranji Trophy semifinal

India opener KL Rahul struck a majestic 141 against Uttarakhand in the first semifinal of the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season. Opening the innings for Karnataka, the legendary cricketer faced 211 deliveries and dispatched 11 of them for elegant boundaries and another five for huge sixes at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

Captain Devdutt Padikkal also composed an unbeaten 148* off 236 balls as Karnataka reached a commanding 355-2 in 90 overs by stumps on Day 1.

Jason Holder takes West Indies to Super 8 of T20 World Cup 2026

West Indies flattened Nepal by nine wickets in match number 25 of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. The outcome also helped the West Indies team become the first side of the tournament to qualify for the Super Eights.

Legendary all-rounder Jason Holder bagged the ‘Player of the Match’ award for picking up four wickets at an expense of just 27 runs in his four overs to restrict Nepal to 133-8. Captain Shai Hope struck an enterprising 61* to storm West Indies past Nepal in just 15.2 overs.

Lockie Ferguson leaves New Zealand ahead of Canada match

New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson will be returning home for the birth of his first child with wife Emma. His departure will mean that the cricketer will not be available to play New Zealand’s final Group D match of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup against Canada on February 17 at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium.

Lockie Ferguson has so far picked up four wickets in three innings of the tournament at a bowling average of 27 for New Zealand.
