TOSS UPDATE: Toronto Sixers win the toss and opt to bowl first!
15 league games, 2 semifinals and we are down to the biggest game of the tournament. Two worthy teams who rode the ups and downs of the last 6 days very differently have made it to this stage in their own styles. The Toronto Sixers led by Kieron Pollard and the Vancouver Anchors led by Moeen Ali are all set to battle it out for the Grand Prize. With Brampton Blitz knocked out, we are all set to have a new winner and that adds to the excitement. Let us have a quick look at how these teams progressed to the final.

Toronto Sixers (Road to the final):
A few hours back in the 1st SF, the Sixers won a close battle against the Mississauga Masters. They beat the Masters by just 9 runs after putting up 130 on the board while batting first. Kieron Pollard with his 40(16) made all the difference. Prior to that, the entire journey till the final for the Sixers was not all that convincing. They did start by winning their first game against Montreal but then lost their second to Brampton. They recovered to win their third game against White Rocks before going down in back-to-back games to Vancouver and Mississauga. With just 2 wins in 5 games, they barely made the cut to the semifinals thanks to how some other teams fared. However, what matters is that on the big day they have brought their best out and now see themselves in the final.

Vancouver Anchors (Road to the final): The Vancouver Anchors won their semifinal much more convincingly and have had a better tournament in the last 6 days. They beat the defending champions, Brampton Blitz, by 6 wickets and 19 balls to spare as they were chasing 102 runs. Prior to that, they only lost 1 game in the league stage and that was their opening game against Mississauga. After that they defeated Montreal, Brampton, Toronto and White Rocks on the bounce to secure the second position in the points table. Even in their case, all the wins now stand irrelevant. Yes, they will give them a certain degree of confidence but what they do now in the final against the Sixers is all that matters.
