That's it from all of us for this game. This is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of scorer Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Until next time, cheers and good bye.
A fantastic victory for Toronto Sixers as they grab their first win of this year's competition. Vancouver Anchors start their campaign with a loss and will be looking to bounce back, when they face Vancouver Warriors in their next game. Do join us for that. Also, keep joining us for more cricketing action all around the globe.
Mady Villiers (Toronto Sixers Women Captain and POTM): "[What pleased you the most after this win?] I think how we bounced back after we lose a first game. Really proud of the girls for the way they bounced back.

[What was the plan while defending that total?] With a player like Laura, she’s going to give you chances. We had plans today and the bowlers executed their plans perfectly. Had to be aggressive while defending a low total like that."
Player of the Match: Mady Villiers
Fatima Sana (Vancouvers Anchors Women Captain): "[Thoughts after the game?] That was the first match and we did well in the bowling. We collapsed in the batting side and we have to improve in the next game.

[Reason behind the collapse?] We took a lot of things in the mind. That’s why I think the collapse happened."
1:11 PM IST, 12:41 AM Local Time: That’s it. Toronto Sixers register their first win in Women’s Canada Super60 2026. They beat Vancouver Anchors by 21 runs. The Anchors will be very disappointed with their effort today as it was they were cruising at one stage but bottled in the run chase and finished on the wrong side. They start their campaign with a loss.
Chasing 71, the Anchors lost Anika Kolan (0) and skipper Fatima Sana (6) cheaply. Laura Harris at the top of the order hit some lusty blows and scored 24 off 10 before falling in the in the fourth over. It led to a collapse.
Phoebe Franklin (5), Alexa Stonehouse (0), Kanchan Rana (1) and Eman Asim (0) were dismissed as the Anchors lost 5 for 1. They never recovered from that collapse and fell behind the required run rate. The Sixers did well to close out the game as the Anchors finished their innings on 49/9 to lose the game by 21 runs.
Vandana Mahajan (2/16) and Indu Barma (2/4) picked up two wickets each for the Sixers whereas Laura Cardoso (1/15) and Sophia Smale (1/9) grabbed a wicket apiece as they did a fantastic job to restrict the Vancouvers to 49/9 and defend the total successfully. With this, they grabbed their first win this season.
Earlier, the Sixers were asked to bat first. Skipper Mady Villiers scored 18 in the very first over. That was the only shining light throughout the innings for them. Grace Ballinger cleaned up Bess Heath (0) and Mady (18) in the second over. Ella McCaughan (2) and Indu Barma (0) fell in the next.
