That's it that's an easy win for the Spirit here at Dubai as they beat the Warriors by 67 runs and with that, they will be moving to the top in the points table after their 3rd win of this competition. And the Warriors are now almost out of the top 4 race as they failed to open their account in the first 4 games.
Chasing 168 on a good batting surface, The Spirit started off their innings with spinners bowling from both the ends. The spinners kept the pressure building inside the powerplay. Esha Ozha went for the big slog as she tried to break the shackles but she ends up hitting that one straight into the hands of a deep midwicket fielder. Dangerous Matthews was sent back by Ecclestone as she trapped her in front of the wickets. Du Preez the experienced campaigner couldn't make any difference as the brilliant piece of fielding from Ecclestone send her back on the score of only 1.
Yasmeen Khan struck some lusty blows as she scored run a ball 27, Bryce and Raack scored 19 and 14 respectively at the end but that wasn't enough for them to get over the winning line. The rest of the batters failed to go past the single-digit score. Ecclestone and Khaka were the picks of the bowlers as they picked up a couple of wickets to keep the scoring rate under the check. Boochatham and Kibasu picked a wicket each in their 4 over spells. So all and all it was a great all-around effort from the Spirit which took them to the top of the points table.
