It has been a long day at the T20 Blast, and it comes to an end with a batting masterclass from James Rew. He is leading Somerset from the front and they look a side to reckon with. Sam Hain (Warwickshire): (On the overall performance and James Rew's impact on the game) "Sometimes in cricket, a player can just have a special day, and thatās what happened here. But to be fair, it really started with James' performance. I think there are still areas where we can improve. Fielding is definitely one of them because I donāt think this was our best fielding performance. But games like these are often decided by very fine margins.
(On bouncing back after the defeat) The games come very quickly in this competition, and momentum plays a massive role. All we can do now is dust ourselves off, think about things both individually and collectively, have a good training session, and before we know it, weāll be back out there again. Hopefully, weāll put things right in the next game.
(On the long tournament ahead, despite only two matches being played) Thereās still a long way to go in the competition. Itās only two games in, so thereās plenty of time for us to turn things around. Thatās the nature of this format - momentum can shift very quickly."

Led by a scintillating knock from James Rew, they have made little work of what should have been a tough target to track down. They made 190 look like 150 and with that they gain some more points on that points table.
Warwickshire Bears won the toss and elected to bat first. They lost Alex Davies early on the piece for just 4 runs. However, healthy contributions from Robert Yates (42 off 25), Beau Webster (41 off 30) and Sam Hain (52 off 35), steadied the ship and got them well back on track. A flourishing finish from the bat of Ed Barnard, who notched up 28 off 11 pushed the score to 189/6 in 20 overs.
It did feel like an above par score at the halfway mark. The pick of the bowlers for Somerset were Craig Overton and Jake Ball with 2/40 next to each of their names. The chase started in a very modest manner from the Somerset side. Tom Banton and Will Smeed got the side off to a great start. They stitched 53 in the powerplay.
However, Smeed was dismissed inside the first 6 overs itself. James Rew joined Banton and they continued the intent. Banton was looking good for a fifty, but just then he unluckily was run out at the bowler's end for backing up too far. The score stood at 80/2 and Banton was gone for 47.
Tom Abell joined Rew and both just easily tore into the bowling attack. They stitched a massive 107-run partnership for the third wicket. Both batters picked their bowlers and also picked various pockets of the ground. Rew ended up with 93 off 48. Abell had 35 off 26 next to his name and played the perfect support role.
