Today is only the second occasion of Seattle Orcas defending a score at Major League Cricket. The last time they did it was back in 2023 when they defeated San Francisco Unicorns by 35 runs.
Marcus Stoinis (Seattle Orcas Captain): "[About Orcas' powerful batting line-up] There is power there, we have to unleash at the right time. We have had partnerships up front which meant we came in at the right time. We were able to make a sizeable impact which was impressive.
[Bowlers doing well tonight] This ground lends itself to consistency around the stumps. If you are too short, you get hit. If you are too full, you get hit. We had a plan coming here. Simple plans but not easy to execute. So, credit to the lads.
[Captaining the Orcas] Obviously, cricket is doing well here. The environment is great. Winning makes it better."

Jasdeep Singh (POTM): "[On his bowling performance] First of all, I am very grateful to be here. The last couple of months were tough on me after the World Cup injury. Coming into the tournament I was a bit nervous but still backed myself for all the work I put behind the scenes. Obviously, after every year we analyze what we can do better, and I realised I have to come up with some new skill. The league is getting better and better every year. So, a lot of effort behind it and I am grateful.
[On the new skills he has added to his bowling] Yeah, I will look to keep improving in every game as we go ahead. A shoutout to the Seattle management, the coaches and everyone. Despite being injured; I wasn't really fit, during the retention time they still backed me, and I am very grateful for that. A huge shoutout to my wife and my kid who is in the stands and the whole family back home. These guys have been a pillar behind me through thick and thin and I am really grateful to have support like this.
[On not been given a third over by Marcus Stoinis immediately] No, I mean I trust his thought process. I kind of knew that he will bring me at the right time and I think yeah, it is more about winning the game than me picking up wickets and I am really happy that we got a win today."
